Cool ORA's Silver Bullet Wraith - (pic heavy)

Been doing some mods to the wraith and this is what happened.
1. changed the frame
2. created a tire carrier integrated to frame
3. created new body panels
4. relocate all the electronics to the front (first attempt at styrene)
5. switched control panel for the BEC, Lights and SC (second attempt at styrene)

1 & 2. Cut the frame for the typical notch-back that everyone is used to seeing on the wraith.
Basically made a set of allthread links with 1/4 in brake line and rod ends.
All brazed a cross member with a M4 both between the links (forgot to take a pic of it before I painted it)

Broke down the frame for painting.

Done painting. Put 4 coats. Brown, Red, Primer and Silver so when it gets scratched hopefully different colors will show through and maybe give a rusted look to it.

Cross-bar with tire mount.

Started putting things back together.

3. Attempt at body panels.
Went with something I am familiar with COORS Light 24oz cans!!!
This was the first roof attempt and later saw that I did it backwards so had to suffer and drink another 24oz. Bummer.

Side panels are 2 pieces. One for the door panel and one for the mud guard behind the seat. More cans sacrificed for art.

Passenger side

Hood.

4 & 5. Relocating the electronics to the front with Styrene.
Copied the CK-RC front plate and came up with this pattern and chipped it out of .040 sheet.

Mock-up with interior.

Added boxed areas for ESC/BEC (front) and for RX/battery (back)

Mock-up in frame.

Mock-up of planned control panel in between seats.

Holes cut for switches.

Mock-up of switches.

Switches, backing plate to glue the switches for easier access and the deck plate.

Mounted with some m2 hardware.

I guess you know that the grille piece is upside down, right? If so, the rig looks good!

LOL!!! Yes. I liked the way it looked, almost like a bug/rock guard on a car hood. Nice catch tho.

Interested to know if the scratches did look like rust as you planned? I like the idea sounds like it would look awesome.
