| chaotic links?
I'm in the process of building my wraith for straight crawling. I am in the market for some new suspension links. Would like high clearance lowers. After lots of shopping around i think I like the titanium links from chaotic crawlers. Right now it looks like you can get steering links for half price if you order then with a link kit. Looking for some feedback from any body who has ran these links before I drop 130 for links. Any feedback would be awesome.

They make a great product. $130 is a bit steep for links but its all personal taste. If you like them buy them. I wish VP would make some high clearance stuff.

130 is for links, ends, and steering. Not many options for high clearance lowers.

If you've got access to a vise tap and die set and a hack saw you can build your ow. |

R2j could make you some nice custom bent 1/4" SS links. I got him to bend mine like the VP 1/4" Ti ones and they are awesome!! http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/chass...inks-sets.html Last edited by ZippoMan; 09-01-2013 at 07:44 PM. |

There isn't any point in running "high clearance" links on a wraith. Any decently setup wraith will put the skid inline with the link mounts.

The skid inline with links means nothing when the front or rear is unloading over a rock and dragging the links. Unless ground and terrain is psrfwchly flat A slight bend in the link makes huge difference in dragging resistance. Yes most won't build or tune anything themselves. |

There's a point to everything some points minimal some huge I'd say high cldranxe links is a decent sized point no matter rude height. Could be tgd difrence between making s gate or floundering into the flag

Possibly the difrence between a built rig and a bolted together one. Minimal but worth while

I was curious so I went out to rock pile. My slight bend helps clear rocks in all kinds of situation where a straight link wouldn't My |

Thanks for all the feedback. I really like the looks of the ss ones from Rj2. Waiting to hear back from him about placing an order. if i don't hear back from him i am going with the chaotic setup. I am the type that likes to build and tune my own stuff. I wrench for a living and have all the tools to make and do anything i want. Just don't always feel like doing it after work. Like to spend more time crawling less time wrenching. |

I would go with the chaotic ones that extra little bit can mean the difference of getting up the rock or not. They make great stuff.
