Default Got some new tires

Got some Proline Chisel's here are some of the before and after shots

Still waiting on new rims to come in so i just put them on the stock wheels for now

decided not to use the Proline foam as they are too big, just used the foam that came with the stock tires

I found that both the proline single stage foams and the stock ones were way too soft when crawling. They would wad up when you stuffed it into a rock.

Gonna add some tech to the thread? At least the rig specs and some future plans.

check out my post below....picked it up from a guy who built it but never used it...it came with a Dynamite ESC and Tamiya 540J motor and Hitec Servo. All are getting replaced next week with an HPI SF50 Servo, Savage Flux XS Vapor Pro Brushless Speed Control/ESC Waterproof, and Flux XS Vektor 4000KV Motor Brushless

all I've done since I've gotten the wraith was added aluminum upper links, light bar and axial 2.2 wheels and Traxxas aluminum hold downs for the hood

Those are all terrible choices for electronics. A 4000kv sensorless motor won't crawl at all and that's not really enough servo for a wraith.

Honestly if I could do it again I would. I started out with cheap crappy electronics and have since spent hundreds of dollars finding a setup that works.

ESC: Mamba Max Pro can run brushed or brusheless sensored or sensor-less.
BEC: Castle 10 amp programmable program to 7.4V output
Motor: If you want brusheless run a pro4 if you want brushed run a HH crawlmaster (note: I also ran the roc412 by tekin even though it's sensored it still didn't run very good at low speeds)
Servo: Savox SB-2270SG run it off of 7.4V for 444oz/in of torque.

Which roc412 was it? What was the timing set at? I'm guessing it was the 3300kv

A Krawler at 3psi wouldn't do it any where as close to what stock foams would allow on a wraith.

Looks good. Pro-Line makes fatty foam so people can trim it to their own specs. I actually "gear" cut mine and it helps with climbing and crawling. The trade off is that it drives a little silly on concrete but I dont spend much time on concrete.

Good luck with your build!

I've pulled my boggers off the bead with dang near no air. Sometimes you got pick a difrent line. To protect the tire

Pulling off the bead and or flat out damaging a tire is just a pita full scale.

The thing about the Wraith is I will attack those sharp undercuts that I would avoid with my Jeep. If the foams are too soft then the tire will just ball up and cause it to stop rotating. This is not to mention the problems you run into on a side hill where the tire folds over on itself(usually a position you avoid in the full scale world as well lol.)

Do you vent the tires or just the rims

I found that the Proline Chisel's worked a lot better using the Double Deuce foams from Crawler Inovations. I have 5.25T foams with the medium outer rings on my Wraith.
