Little over an hour on a 2200 2s with a brusless motor on a 6.5lb rig. Bought the same run time on a 3s 2200. The 2s 2200 turnigy 5000 mah are 15-20 bucks. I even run a 1300 mah 2s. Haven't timed it but it seems to run for quite awhile. . Looked like those spec batts might be on the spend side. Yeah doesn't matter what plugs come on batteries soldering is just something we do in this hobby I decided on deans and set my planes hel is and cars up that way. I also thought 1.5hrz was low for a 5000mah battery. On a 6s 2200 I get 15-20 mi utes is all running paddles at 3/4 to full throttle |

I just ordered these and they do me just fine. I was concerned about the 20c rating, but with my brushed setup, I have no issues so far. Being Hard case, made the choice easy for me 2S LiPO Battery - 20C 3200mAh 7.4 LiPO Hardcase | Venom RC |

Well technically the battery won't melt anything a powerhouse motor and ESC may get stuff running warm and a low dish charge battery will bottle kneck the system. The battery mah capacity us the fuel tank discharge rate ng is the fuel line. 20c rating is a small full line 40C a big line. 20c discharge may be plenty for alit of power systems. |

Isn't the stock connector a Tamiya plug? Gotta switch that out. I dont think the stock ESC can run 3s. I run a Hobby People 4000 and a Gens Ace 2200. I currently run Traxxas plugs. Gonna switch back to Deans at Some point when I'm bored enough to do all the soldering. Also have the XR10 and 3 batteries for that. Since I went to a Homes Hobby 45t, the batteries are running about 3x as long. I creep. Very slow for strictly crawling. |

Tamiya connectors are junk. Changing to Deans is easy. I knew nothing about soldering, bought a cheap iron at Radio Shack and had it done in 10 seconds. Soldering is a very important skill to learn in this hobby, and when you deal with battery connectors especially with lipo's, you need to change them.

Agreed. Though I run a Weller pistol iron. Also a jig up soldering block is a priceless tool http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=38714 http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=35021 Last edited by evan03; 11-23-2013 at 09:59 AM. |

I run a spc 5400 50c 3s with a traxxas plug. 3s will probably shorten the stock motor life but I have 3 of these already for my slash. Down the road I plan on going brushless anyways.
