| I'm back!
After a few years away from crawling I am coming back, after looking around a lot has came about. I'm not getting deep into it again so I most likely will just settle for a wraith RTR to dink around with. My question is, with that new blue wraith, can I run lipo with stock set up?? |

yes up to 2S on the stock Axial/castle speed control. Recommend upgrading to the mamba max pro just for the sheer impact of running brushed or brusheless and sensored or unsensored brusheless systems. |

2s Lipo on the stock esc and 3s if you solder in an external Castle bec. No real need to upgrade the esc unless you make the jump to brushless.

Yea,I think the stock is esc is really decent,2s and I did run 3s without the bec just to try it and worked fine, but I did put a bec in anyway to get some more servo power. The stock esc can be programmed with a castle link, you can adjust the brake and such which is nice. I bought a scx10 then bought my son a wraith,,then just the other week I bought myself a wraith,I just found them to be overall more fun "I do love the scx10 and the wraith doesnt beat it as far as scale looks go" But I would suggest buying a used wraith,I bought one that came with a brushless system, aluminum wheels, knuckles and Chubs,Aluminum shocks and steering rod and a savox servo for the same price as new RTR wraith. Just my 2 cents, stock wraith is fine and works much better once you do the free mods, but sooner or later your going to want to add some aluminum parts like Chubs and knuckles and it gets pricey fast! |

The octagon hub on the wraith, is it the same as the scx10? Reason I ask is I might buy new axial 2.2 wheels and want to be sure they will fit

They will work with the stock setup. But if you put Vanquish knuckles and chubs the stock wheels will no longer work. FYI

So 3s will cause the reciever voltagecti drop bellow 4 volts and cause brown out. I run 2-6s with no external beck of course not on a stick ESC. But have run the side winder on 3s with no external became. With no issues. That was a generic rccrawler reply. Servo and motor comes into play. If it Browne's out and acts weird then a became may be needed. But if its fine and runs smooth then why change it |
