I use the Vanquish lockers and used the updated AR60 OCP universal axle set that came with the Axial Wraith kit. Yes these are the ones that allow 50 degrees of steering

I got the MIP C-Drive Spline (Drive Shafts) MIP part # 08101. This set is advertised for the AX10 Scorpion and is the non DIG set. Very beefy drive set. Wherever vendor you use just get the MIP part # 08101. Use Red Loctite on the set screws.

MIP part # 08101 Instructions

I used these pins Traxxas #5145 Screw Pin 4x15mm Revo 6 each in a bag. These pins go thru the original input bevel gear shaft and have a 4mm set screw to lock them in. Use Red Loctite on the set screws.

Good luck!

Did the locking screws in the VP locker clamp the axial uni's?

No they don't. The tolerances are tight enough that you don't need to use the set screws with the Axial axles.

The GCM Racing locker has set screws that will clamp on the Axial shafts.

Yes THEY do.

IF it is the newest edition VP lockers and the newest edition Axial Wraith axles.

Mine sure do...... because I tried pulling them out by the universal/wheel nut.

Well I have vp lockers on the way from amain as we speak... and yesterday I snapped an axial uni...so I dont know if they will clamp or not. How will I know if I have the latest version of each?

I defiantly would like the lockers to clamp because the stock axles in the stock spools are so sloppy its not funny!

I don't mind dropping $100 on vp vvd's as long as they are worth it.

Well if you just ordered the VP lockers (VPS05990) then most likely they will be the newest edition. Mine were ordered 3 weeks ago from VP and I got batch # 13786 DH as the newest.

The updated Axial axles are AR60 OCP universal axle set. Those came with the Axial Wraith kit that I got 3 weeks ago and allow 50 degrees of steering.

Do you know what the change was between the original ocp axle and the updated versions?

I don’t know the exact difference between the old and new version. I have only owned the newest version of the VP lockers and Axial axles. They work so far for me.

I believe the answer you seek is in this thread……If not good info in there.
