Default Wraith lower link replacement

I am replacing my stock suspension links with the VP ti links. I can't seem to get the allen screw that is inset into the skid plate to come out. I have loosened it and keep unscrewing but it won't slide out to allow me to pull the link end.

Is there a trick to getting these screws out?

Keep on unscrewing and slightly apply a pull force outwards normally they would come out the slot....

Make sure you're 1.5 mm tool has a brand-new tip. You want it to fit as snugly into the grub screw cap as possible. If you're 1.5 mm tool is in great shape there's a possibility that the grub screw cap has worn out. Try a 1/16 inch tool instead. You may need a worn out 1/16 inch tool. Either way make sure when you are turning the grub screw to be pressing on the side of the inside of the grub screw cap (hole). You are trying to pinch the wall of the grub screw hole with your tool as you screw it out.

Thanks. That is kind of what I thought. I am using a small 1.5 Allen wrench. I may go get a new 1.5 tool with a better handle to help.

I have a feeling the screw is completely unscrewed, I just can't get it to come out.

Put side pressure on the screw with the link end

Please throw the little L wrench away if that's what you are using. Or at the very least save it for emergency use in the field. Get a decent driver with a handle. Apply side pressure while backing the screw out like the others have said and they will come right out.

While unscrewing lift the tool a little so that the set screw can bite into the skid a little that should work.

yes ounce the threads end the screw is still way in there and the pressure from the link will help work it out as you continue to unscrew it

Or you can just smash the stock plastic misalignment spacer with pliers and viola!

Naw no hammers but if you're ditching the stock links just cut em off at the spacer and grab it with pliers and unscrew the grub screw. Works like a charm lol

This is a service part and needs to be serviced at times well that is if you actually run your wrairh.

You are fubarred if you can't romove it.

Good thing most dont run there's enough to wear links out.

update

They came out easy with the nice clean, new 1.5 tool. I may have been using a tool that was standard instead of metric, it felt like it fit, but didn't completely. The set screws are out, new VP links are in.
