This rig just keeps evolving....I have 3 Wraiths in various stages, and I swap parts constantly. This one is still in its basic form - still 1.9, same basic chassis. I swapped on the XR Mod axle a while ago and test drove it last week. Motor was shot, suspension was floppy, I was just generally underwhelmed. This used to be my favorite truck to wheel, so it was disappointing to get it out there and be not feeling it anymore. So last Sunday I tore it down to the axles and rebuilt it from the ground up. So last week it was a tummy tuck mod, removed some of the scale doo-dads, swapped hubs to widen the track in the rear (to match the XR width front,) swapped in a Novak 13.5 system, swapped over to XR10 shocks w/variable dampening pistons, added a rear swaybar, and hoped for the best. This rig was a straight up animal on the trail today....wow, what a difference. The tummy tuck made a HUGE difference, and with the tires finally breaking in and the other mods it was better than ever. Going to make 2 small changes and call it good for the summer. Can't wait to get out there and run it again. |

The transformation continues.. Made some RULR brackets and bolted them in..I did trim off the top hole after install and used the middle. Unfortunately with the tummy tuck, this meant that the interior no longer fit. I think I hacked this one up enough... Say goodbye Lara, it's been fun. I ordered a Spawn interior instead. Amazing the difference it makes in my portal rig with so much less weight up top...assume this will be the same here. In the meantime, I'll be winching through the mud with Drake and Sully... (Awesome game!) Last edited by OSRC; 03-08-2017 at 07:16 PM. |

Thanks for the update always good to see rigs evolving and actually on the trail. Those axle housings are pretty nice too.
