| New wheels (almost)
I've spent most of the week trying to learn hydro dipping and I've gotten to the point I can manage to not destroy everything I attempt. I want to dip my Wraith wheels, but didn't want to risk the beadlocks, so into the tub with the original wheels. I'm happy enough with the results that I'll pull the beadlocks apart tomorrow and get after it. If those come out decent it's time for the Raptor canopy. |

Very cool indeed. How easy is it to scratch off?

It's about like any other paint on plastic. After the clarity's on there pretty good. What I need is a set of 2.2" steel wheels that scratch and rust with use. I had a set on an SCX10 JK a while back that few scratches and looked pretty convincing. The trick to this stuff is that it's just like paint. Everything depends on prep and clear. Off to tear down the beadlocks now. I really don't enjoy messing with all those screws, but it's worth it, IMHO. |
