Default Looking to make my wraith Hex Drive. Verifying equipment..

So my wraith already stripped out a hub and i just dont want to deal with pin drive so i would like to go to hex drive. I have looked around a little bit and i will be going with vanquish products.

are these the two things i need?
hub how many of these will I need? Like do they come in packs of 2 or 1?
Hexes only 1 of these unless you think i need an extra set.

Thanks for the help guys!

I would actually also like to know a good servo without going too expensive.

I should probably mention i have the PSC version

ok i have figured out most of this on my own so far haha.

So i know i need SLW hubs with 12mm hexes.

The only question i have is about the hardware... I know you need 4-40 but how long? I think I saw that Vanquish is using 4-40x1/2 but i'm not sure and that seems pretty long.

Take wheels and hexes and to your local fastener store. Youl walk out with a boat load of bolts with plenty of spares.

While your at it ask about bearings and put you a good bearing kit together. Ask about abec 5 bearings

Savox 1230, 1268,1283, hxt10kg.
Those are good reliable servos at a fraction of what the hitech have servos cost

wrong hexes....vanquish hubs use Wraith hexes

TowerHobbies.com | Axial Aluminum Hex Hub 12mm Black (4)

just need a quanty (1)....comes all 4 in a pack. Consider used axial wheels, you may come out cheaper than vanquish hubs. Not to mention you have to know the correct size for the VP hubs when you buy. Just a thought.

well these are actually the ones im getting. Same ones that Harley used on his weekly build. I think i will like the wider stance anyways.

Thanks for the info about the hex nuts also. I had already figured that out though .

so the list is.

Vanquish SLW 475 hubs
4-40x1/2 hardware from lockeduprc
axial hexes 12mm

and as a bonus I am going to get some CI DD's

IMO the wraith looks kinda goofy with wide offset rims. The axles themselves are plenty wide and when you bring the wheels in a little it looks MUCH better. If someone can verify they'd work, i would get the .225" hubs.

You could also use the shift hubs by lattice innovation. They are an aluminum version of the pin mount. I use them on vp wheels and they work great.

X2 and they have an extra set of holes that you can tap to m3 so you aren't stuck putting 4-40 bolts on a metric truck.

Curious why you asked the question if you're imitating what someone else has done?

Good luck and welcome to the addiction
