Default Wraith SPEED and TORQUE WANTED

Okay guys I have a axial wraith. I want to go 32 pitch but what do I need. I wanted a new brushless motor because my Tekin gen1 10.5t it is very tired it probably needs a new rotor and stator but why do that when I could buy a new motor that would be a improvement. I looking at running 2s rarely mostly 3s I'm also considering 4s lipo. I'm going to be running sensored because I like crawling. Can the pro4 hd handle 4s but which kv I want wheel speed (ALLOT) and torque please help ASAP

tekin pro 4 hd 3000kv and mamba monster pro. Enough torque to snap your rig in half, crawls slower than a baby with no arms, and insane speed for a straight axle wraith.

No you didn't! That's freaking awesome... "crawls slower than a baby with no arms"...I actually laughed out loud! But all joking (laughing) aside the 3000kv HD power plant is the ticket. MMP or RX8, you choose, but either way you'll need to drive with some sense or you'll be picking up a trail of drive line parts on your way to scraping your rig off a boulder or the side of a tree!

What's the point? You can't harness that power... unless you're going for top speed... in which case you'd be better off spending the $1500 on an entirely different rig.

Edit - to the OP - you're gonna need a lot more than a 32 pitch spur gear - ya know - driveshafts, HD ring and pinion, steel tranny gears, lockers, etc.

We are still talking about very usable power levels here.

you just don't know man... Pro4 power is fun!
Sure, I use quarter - half throttle in most situations but when I need power, it's there.

I have the Pro4 3300 on 3s in my scx10 and love it! Great range of throttle control and usable power.
I have the Pro4 4000 on 3s in my Class 3: AR60 axles, Summit 2 speed trans and it's frickin awesome!

The low end is smoother than the 3300 because the Summit trans' low gear is lower than Axial's.
The top end in 2nd gear is insanely fast! People are blown away when they see it run flat out.

I bet that class 3 is a lot of fun!

yeah, I got a bunch of video's of it running... I'll post some.

At the last gtg, a friend shot some video of it running full out. I still gotta get it off his phone.

EDIT: Here's a couple from the ECSC TTC
1st gear

there were no boundaries for the sled pull
1st gear

2nd gear vs RC4WD trans 2nd gear (not sure of the motor).
I have to really ease on the throttle in 2nd or it'll flip so that's why Showtime took off first but I easily passed him.
Then, an attempt at a controlled wheelie.

2nd gear hill climb.
I know this doesn't look steep but it was... and really loose dirt.

Turnigy 2100 or 1900 kV 1/8 scale motor on 2-6s. Who needs a stink in sensor anyways

I've got lots of vids of mine crawling on 2-3s and foffing and bashing on 4-6s

I run the 3300 kv pro 4 with mmp on 4s in my wraith and it has all the power you need. You will be making a much larger investment if you haven't already on other parts as already mentioned. Plastic gears won't last 5 minutes and you best get some good lockers as well.

Another vote for the tried and true pro4 3300kv / MMP combo. I'm running the AX2 two speed trans, 12/60 final gearing. At the flick of a switch, you can go from crawlin' to haulin', way more fun than I ever thought this thing would be. I will say, nothing in my drive line is stock though; I built that up first, then added the power later.

Pro4 3300 and mmp on 3s in mine to. Fun and fast. Crawls great. But like others said upgrades are not an option. Need hd gears and lockers, mip shafts, steel trans gears, 32p gears, stronger front axle shafts. Also a aluminum trans case and super shafty trans inputs, outputs and his ultimate motor plate are a good idea. And I recently bought some gcm aluminum axle housings because I was stripping the hd gears. I figured it was the flex in the plastic housing. It seemed to fix the problem.
