Default welded diff cover.

Been wanting the VP diff cover and just couldn't afford it so I spent the last two hours making my own. Actually turned out decent. Its slightly over sized on the bottom so I can tie a diff skid into it. The upper also needs flushed up.

Being steal brings a lot of weldable possibilities. Skid plates redkneck hydraulic steering bracket.

But way to much work. Traced the stock cover and started welding triangles together also broke a drill bit and put the end still in the drill through my thumb.

Thanks

Would love to have your skids but just can't afford them

I'm a little late in doing a diff cover skid.

Ouch on the thumb bud. Nice work on cover, looks tough as nails!! Maybe work the skid into the cover as one removable piece? Nice job

Thanks.

Kiss. I think the easiest would be to just weld the skid right to the cover.

I like t keep everything stupid simple.

Skid and paint done.

That turned out great. Blood and sweat is part of the project, right!

Haha, yeah that part happens. Just means sh!ts getting did lol.

Very true, always pops ideas into others heads that haven't thought they could build a part or havent thought of building a part. In my case, never thought to build my own cover. Very cool man

Lol yeah. When I started it I didn't know if it would work. It barely clears the ring gear and won't clear if the ring great is towards the long side..

I have more time into this cover then I do my chassis

Had to extend the skid to the drive line. Got stuck on the cover when needing to reverse when forward progress was haulted.

Also notice the DMG cover goes to drive line
