Default New member with question...

I just bought a used wraith. When I bought it the guy gave me a new Tekin motor and speed control. I am wondering if I can just plug it into my receiver? It is a 35t motor and a FX-R speed control? If so will my NiMt battery work with it? Thank you, any info would help.

If you find your motor or ESC is getting hot, you may need to get a smaller pinion gear for your motor. With my original 20 tooth pinion, my FXR was getting hot. A 14t pinion seems to have fixed my issue. The Wraith is a fun rig with lots of great tips on here to help.

Yeah it'll plug right into your rx, but you may want to calibrate it with yoir radio..if you don't have a manual for your fxr check out YouTube for some video on how to do it...or somebody may chime in with how to calibrate it...but it should plug up and work fine..make sure your trims are at zero.

You can also go on tekin's website and they will have the manual online, possibly available to print out, if you don't have a manual to tell you how to calibrate the ESC.

Thanks for all the good info. Do you have any battery suggestions? I also have a summit that I am running Traxxas 25c 7.4v lipo's in will they work? If so do I need to turn on the low voltage sensor or is it already on?
