| Valentines Rig for my wife
My wife enjoys going trail running and crawling with us when she can. But she didn't like driving my rig, cause she worried about breaking it . I tried to tell her that breaking it is half the fun, she didnt understand that concept. A couple months ago she told me she wanted a truck of her own, shortly after that I worked out a deal for a wraith. It came from a good friend of mine that had picked it up over a year ago but didn't end up using it. Her wraith came with with a lot of mods, plus aluminum rims. My wife doesn't like the rims, she wanted the ones off my truck. No problem cause I liked her new rims, score for me . Here is a pic of her wraith when we got it. Then my wife mixed her own version of pink paint with a touch aluminum paint thrown in, to give it alittle sparkle (to bad it dosn't show up in pics). Its painted on the outside cause my wife wanted more of a matte finish instead of glossy. And I added hindges to her hood while i had it off to paint. Here is how her wraith sits now, all prepped and ready for its first run tomorrow. And of course a couple poser pics Last edited by AZINDY; 02-13-2014 at 09:47 PM. |

Thanks seanmnew, and I wish you luck on getting your wife in a deer stand. I know my wife would never go for that, lol. Lucky me, I found a good woman that understands what I means to be married to a gearhead

Nice. I traded an 8ight Truggy last year for an XR10. It arrived on Valentines Day. Being on the spot, i told my wife it was for her. Not happy at first but now she likes it. Found a Pink body a few months ago. painted her beadlocks last week, pink. |

Thanks guys, it's alot more fun when the whole family enjoys the hobby & has a rig! So she loved the way her wraith ran, I gotta say I was impressed too. This this is like a goat, it did everything she tried. Seemed real stable at all angles, what ever shocks it has work like a charm. I will try and post some pics from the first shake down run later tonight or tomorrow. |

As promised here are a couple pics of her driving it yesterday. Not the best pics cause i tried to get them while it was moving. Les (my wife) still needs to learn how to pause the rig during a climb or crawl for better photo ops . These are from today while I was double checking everything. All pics driven into & out of, no poser pics here |

*sigh* I would have much rather spent money on one of these for my girlfriends valentine's present. Instead she wanted expensive sunglasses.

I'm a lucky guy what else can I say. This afternoon my wife and I made a sun screen cover for the wraith's rear cage section. Didn't take too long and turned out kinda cool, add alittle different look to her rig. Now we just need to find a female driver, Les doesn't want a man driving her rig, LoL. I told her "he is just the hired wrench, he had to take it out for a few shake down runs before handing the keys over". Last edited by AZINDY; 02-15-2014 at 08:35 PM. |

Here are a couple pics of the sun screen top we made for the rear section of her cut cage. Next I will try and make her some inner fender wells and a rear cargo area. It probably wont survive more then a handfull of roll overs. But its all good, cause we can make another one in about 10 minutes |

Wish I could get my wife into crawling with me. I'm pretty sure she'd enjoy it. Instead for V-Day, though, I spent $2500 on a sapphire ring. 10 year anniversary and all. Not that I can really complain, though. I got a $1600 Specialized mountain bike and a $3100 Tag Heuer Formula 1 watch. I knew about the bike.....the watch was a big surprise. I was literally speechless!
