Default Dying wraith chassis or paint?

Before I go and put all the new goodies I have to finish up my wraith build, I really want the chassis to be gray or silver. Is it possible to RIT dye the black to gray ? Or does it need to be painted with a primer and then painted silver/gray?

Unfortunately, you can't dye black to another color. It would need to be painted instead.

Thanks - I was wondering if you could Dye black another color. Didn't think that'd work.
So I guess my best bet is to use a primer, then an over coat, followed by a clear.

try krylon fusion paint, it adheres to plastic very well

2x that.

They make paint the adheres better to plastic than your standard off the shelf spray paint. It's still paint, so don't expect it to work like a dye, but it'll last longer than regular rattle can.

I would look into Plasti Dip, I've been thinking of trying it but it coats and protects the plastic and also changes the color, Looks like a solid deal!

You realize that's a coating and not a paint. It will add bulk and weight to your rig, not to mention it will cover you cage with a soft grippy surface like you'd find on pliers and other hand tools. I wouldn't recommend this for a frame. But, it will obviously change the color of your cage, and if that's all you're looking for it'll work great.
