, the Vanquish are awesome, but the price is staggering too. Considering I sprung for Forgelines on my SS Camaro it's commical that I am balking over $140 here, but, well, who knows what I might do! This is my first build so I don't want to go too, too, crazy - yet. Others have posted some really nice wheels and I didn't know there were that many options. I may just grab the Axial's for $40 and save for the VP, not sure yet. Keep the pics and posts coming.

BTW, what tires and foams are those?

I run Axial's R 35 Ripsaws with Crawler Innovations Double Duce inserts. But then my kit came with the R35 Ripsaws...

Thanks, I'm looking to keep 11.5" overall width. Why the difference front/rear on yours?

You should be fine then since 11.5" is what I'm running in the rear with normal hexes. I'm running wider hexes in front to give extra clearance at full steer. I'm old-school and most of my comp rigs have been 1/2" more narrow in the rear to help turn around gates easier so it doesn't bother me.

Don't write off the VP SLW wheels. Add in some Fubar bead rings and some extra screws and you have a great wheel at a decent price. $64 for the 4 wheels. I cannot remember exactly what the Fubar rings are, but they were cheaper than the VP rings. And almost any wheel you buy anymore needs VP hubs anyway so I do not count them.

Add on a set of the rotors just for fun.

whatever choice you make, make sure you buy an aluminum wheel.

you can find pretty good deals in the classifieds at times as well.

I own VP's, Motoworx, and TSS wheels and they all are awesome.

I have had issues with rc4wd wheels in the past, but they are still a good option.

My RC4WD wheels would not hold a bead. I used CA glue and that only barely held sometimes. I had to have the backside of them machined down to tighten up the bead.

Which particular RC4WD wheels did you have to machine?

Duuuuuude's custom wheels if you are looking for a simple, lightweight design with your own specs. ***Note: You just get the wheel. You do not get the beadlock rings or hubs.

Locked up Rc rings bolt on axial wheels.

Axial rings bolt on locked up wheels.

Bolting these rings on 40 dollar axial wheels makes for a hot looking combo for about 65buck

Good to hear, but his site no longer lists the 10 hole 2.2 wheels for SLW hubs...only the eight lug style.

my wheels are the 12mm hex set...no slw hubs were needed..he has the 10 holes with 12mm hubs.. so I take it you are wanting the ones that use slw hubs..
