So for my birthday I received 100 to stuff from RPP. I am thinking I really need a new servo. Also a servo horn with that. Can you gimme some recommendations?

So i am thinking about a Savox SA-1231SG with a metal servo horn. What do you guys think?

Do I need a BEC also? Is there a guide to wiring in the BEC?

Pick up a 1230sg instead, yes you will need a BEC and there are instructions on how to install. The 1230 is a better choice.
I run them in my 2.2 and both 1.9's and they work great.

I'm running a hitec 7955tg works great and a bec is highly recommended!

Hitec 7954 and a CC BEC is my setup. Save a few bucks and get the 7954, it's not Titanium gears but they both have the same plastic gear that strips so why spend the extra then.

I'm running the 1231 with a bec and it sucks don't waist ur money get a hitec.....

Why is it suck? I have a couple of savox in my sc buggy and stsdium and they are great. I'm curious why I should avoid savox for my crawler.

This or HItec HS-7950TH both need BEC of course.

Any servo over 200oz needs a BEC! Now, either get Savox or Hitec, this has been a huge debate on the forums for a while. I'd say its all based on personal opinion and how much $$$ your willing to spend. I have 5 rigs with Savox servos, never had a single issue and those Savox ones I have are the toughest models like the sa-1230sg (500oz at 6v for 75 bucks). My other rigs are running stock servos (honcho and glamis uno) although my comp crawler has a Hitec HS-7980th its slow but the torque from that beast is awesome.
