Question drive shaft ?

So my wraith has rc4wd punisher shafts but the yokes are traxxas and they are garbage. My wraith has a cc mamba max pro and stock wraith 20t motor. 2 minutes on flat surface on 2s lipo and *snap snap* the ends broke off.

I checked the begginers guide and everyone seems to say go MIP but when I get the shafts I don't want to have to buy 3 other things just to get them to work.

I want a metal drive shaft(not integy) that when I buy them and get them its just simply undo the screw pin things that are on the out drives andput the new ones on.

I was looking at the junfac carbon steel ones, I know integy is metal and cheap but I haven't heard a lot of good about them.

You can just buy the MIP Wraith set & bolt them on......but then have to deal with the pox Axial 3mm screw pins (with the 1.5mm hex, that strip easy)
MIP C-Drive Spline Center CVD Wraith

Or get the AX10 set, they still just bolt on, no mods, just get some of the Traxxas 4mm screw pins at the same time (that have the 2mm hex)
https://www.rpphobby.com/ProductDeta...tCode=MIP08101
Traxxas Screw Pin 4x15mm Revo (6)

plus its an extra $17 still in your pocket

I'm running the AX-10 version of the MIP's on my Wraith. In addition to the Traxxas 4mm through-pins you will need to do minor clearancing to the spur gear cover to keep the output yoke from rubbing on it.

The Wraith specific shafts have a smaller OD output, that uses the smaller 3mm through-pins, to clear the cover.

I can take the gear cover off if I need to.
60$ for drive shafts is too expensive.

It will be the last set you need to buy.

If you sticking with relatively tame motors and want to keep things cheap, a modified axial shaft could be for you.. it was discussed in the free or cheap mods thread on how to modify a stock shaft to increase its strength.

You can get complete shafts with spare ends for under $20 on ebay.. I run a modified shaft and it seems much stronger than in stock form

I actualy run modified Wild Boars with a Tekin Pro4. Seems to hold up just fine. Slipper properly adjusted so that it'll slip in terrible binds.

I ended up getting the junfacts. Maybe later I'll get the MIPS and out the junfacts on my honcho.
I just hope they are long enough they say for the wraith but stock says up to145mm and the MIPS say up to 150mm and the junfacs say up to 142mm

If you got JunFac part# J90029 they will fit correctly.

Revo sexyness. Definitely not bolt on but costs pennies compared to mip's and is super strong

MIP is definitely a good bolt on option that will last a long time

That's what I had on there and they kept coming apart. I even tried putting a zip tie around the part where it makes the Y over the pin that goes through and they still kept coming apart.
