| CoreyM's WRAITH
Just picked up the poison spyder wraith. Got a bunch of upgrades as well. Hope to get some info/assistance/feedback here at RCCrawler.com. It's my first crawler but I have used most other surface rc's. I'll be posting pictures, questions, and thoughts in this thread so feel free to chime in. |

Thanks bro. My first question. I have proline powerstroke shocks for this truck. 4 fronts. Iv read people use the fronts and they work well. Any thoughts? I know it will lower my wraith a little. |

| Re: CoreyM's WRAITH Yah the Proline Powerstokes are a great shock. The fronts are good if you don't have a lowering kit or in your case already have them. They will lower your wraith which sacrifices travel (only because you have a smaller shock than the typical 4in size) and ground clearance but will gain stability and lower COG (center of gravity incase you were wondering). You won't really notice the loss of travel if your vehicle is setup properly and the loss in ground clearance is minimal and definitely won't be noticeable either. The lower COG will allow steeper angles in climbs, descents, and banks and will improve the overall performance of your vehicle. The Proline's are among the most commonly used shocks for rc crawlers in general and have probably been the most consistent as far as quality. They do great in all aspects of crawling whether it be bashing, crawling, mudding, rock bouncing, Ultra 4, etc. It should do well and will achieve any challenge you present it. Hope this helps. |

I have the spring kit for the powerstrokes to. Any suggestions for spring combination and oil weight? Also would like to do the front hood mod so the battery to be put up front. Any one know the best place to get the kit? Or the parts needed to do this mod? |

Ckrc sells a hood kit. Battery should fit but if you want a tray either ckrc or crawler innovations. As far as shock tuning, it depends what you are going to be doing with the truck.

Thanks lost. Just general bashing and light crawling and trails. Not much for courses that I have found in my area.

For bashing, lite crawling, and trails I recommend a stiffer spring an 50wt to 100wt shock oil. You can always tune if you dont like the setup but thats what I would run.

Check out Werty Made for a front battery plate, think he sells on ebay. Blue Monkey .com for a hood hinge kit, they sell other good stuff too. |

For a no to low cost battery forward mod, I used the stock battery tray and one of the battery straps. I cut up the battery tray to fit up front and used a single screw into the area where the ESC was mounted. I did have to drill a new hole to receive the screw. I also had to shave the underside of the battery tray down so the hood would close properly. I used some 1/4" p-style cable clamps ($2 at Home Depot) and extra screws and nuts that I had on hand as hinges for the hood. Here's a picture: (sorry about the lack of focus) That's a 5000mAh 3S Gen Ace Lipo installed. Last edited by _m_urph; 09-18-2014 at 11:15 PM. |

Ok. I'm looking for a super shafty top shaft for my wraith. Supershafty.com does not have any in stock. Anyone here have a spare they want to part with or are there other shafts out now that will accomplish the same thing? I just got my wraith so new to the game. Not sure if this is something super shafty will be restocking or not.

Looking for new aluminum wheel and tire combos if anyone has any suggestions. Must be slw. Iv looked at vanquish wheels but they are a little pricy for what I want to spend for all 4. Any suggestions of a more affordable option that still has high quality?

the 1.9 wraith, Experiment 626, has motoworx wheels and the blue flame wraith has robby gordon wheels from the scale shop both were reasonable in my opinion | |
