If you plan on doing much modding than the body looks nice but will be useless quick. Between drop/droop kits, not wanting to take the body off to work on stuff, cage mods, and we'll you get the point. The body will be cut to nothing or just not used, and the plastic isn't thick l enough to use as body panels.

well the clear one hasnt come out. I would guess you'd see some custom painted after they come out.

I like the spawn body, I took off most of the outside decals masted off the windshield and the other areas I needed to and painted the outside black. and then added new decals from my pile. I also painted the driver using the water based faskolor paints. The figure stays a dull color that looks more real. I did also add some e6000 to some of the high stress locations on the body like the pillars. I did this from the inside. I am also looking into mounting a plate across at the attachment points for the body on both sides and using a very heavy duty velcro. The screws kinda suck. I will post pics when my paid membership comes through.

I took off what I did not want, used liquid mask on the front bumper / grill, tail lights and the windshield. I was not to concerned about being perfect. I then painted the body and added stickers that I have in my sticker drawer, several from various rigs I have or have had. I also put E6000 ( like a shoe goo but better I think ) on the inside of the body at the pillar posts for added strength, mine had already started to crack. I am not worried either about the body getting scratched up. They are supposed to!!!!

That looks lot better than stock primer color. I'm going to try painting mine.

What paint (brand) do you recommend for durability and finish?

Looks good. Not sure if this applies to the spawn but I was able to strip the paint out of my original rtr panels using brake fluid and a lot of elbow grease with wire brushes. The end result wasn't bad!

On the paint not sure what is best. I used what I had but maybe a spray made for lexan would be better. I also made a strap tha mounts to the screw holes for the body mount and put Velcro across that and the body. Now I can have the body off fast and no screws to remove.

Looks good, are you holding the roof down anywhere ? That back pillars are very weak so this might become a necessary option.

You could also try a custom skin instead of painting like one from FreqEsKinz.

I had that same idea, but wasn't sure how it would look. Looks pretty good to me. I've already done the fastback mod so may be cutting up that body soon!
