VP Stage 1 Kit and RC4wd 2.2 Wheels

Good Morning everyone,

I plan to order some RC4WD 2.2 wheels for my Wraith and since returning them (overseas) is not really possible I want to ask if my setup will work/fit.
I searched and read the forums and clearance and binding issue with this combination

* VP Steering links + c-hub + knuckles + VVDs
* RC4wd 2.2 wheels
* Axial 12mm hex

seem to come up from time to time but then others chime in and say it works fine for them.
So what I currently run is the above mentioned VP + axial 12mm hex combo. The 8 hole axial wheels and VP OMF 2.2 I already have fit on this without any issue. For another set of tires I want to use the RC4wd Dick Cepek 2.2 wheels.
Will these wheels fit offset wise AND will the 12mm Axial Hex work with them? I read somewhere that RC4wd wheels expect flat hexes not the ones like the Axials.
