Default neruda's Wroncho

Hello,

maybe it is time to register to this forum also. I bought Wraith kit few days ago. Car is almost done, electrics, interior, some scale accessories, roof etc. are missing. Maybe I should change different wheels also?

Few pics, I just wanted to check how it will look with this Proline Chevy 1980 pickup body. I know it looks like sh#t but like one user in RCMT said:

"Some call it rust but I call it character"

Looking good. I thought about using that body for a wraith truggy build. Just the front half of the body.
How well does it fit wraith cage?

It fit quite well, I have not attached that body at all. I will take better pics later. My body is short version:
Pro-Line 1980 Chevy Body 3245 for Monster Truck

This is long version:
Pro-Line 1980 Chevy Body 3248 for Monster Truck

I will make little changes to that "painting". I haven't decided colours yet but yes, there will be rust.

Rust looks much better in real life. It is quite hard to take good pictures.

Here is one example how that rust looks closer, this body belongs to Mad Force Kruiser:

Something different this time.

SCX10 frame and Wraith skidplate, axles and shocks.

Which one to choose?

I believe he used the Wraith skid, suspension links, and axles. A very easy swap without having to custom bend the upper links to clear the drive shaft. You just need to add the lengthened braces to tie the front and rear chassis together, I would also add the cross braces to tie the shock towers together for added strength. As for shocks, its your preference on length.

I just ordered a scx frame but don't know if I'm gonna use the scx ski or my wraith one.

The build is entirely up to you on how you want to do it. Just remember if you decide to use the Wraith skid plate and you are using the stock scx10 transmission, you will need to purchase an extended out drive. The Wraith skid plate is longer therefore the stock out drives of the scx10 wont work. The drive shaft will rub on the Wraith skid. The rest will fall into place, you will have to custom bend one of the upper links front and back to clear the drive shaft, not hard at all. Have fun with your Wroncho build, they are cool.

Yes, Revoasian is correct in this case. I had Wraith kit and only part from SCX10 is frame. I think that car is little bit too high at this moment but I don't have electrics. So I have to wait how it sits after I have installed motor, esc, servo and battery..
