Default just random cool poison spyder wraith stuff

Hey y'all just wanted to start up a new wraith thread cause theyre so cool haha. But I have a lot of questions about my wraith that im hoping people can answer. Yes I have looked around on here and yes I have seen all of harleys videos on it. A few ?s I have are: 1. What gear ratio would you recommend on it? Right now its stock but im thinking to drop to a 10 tooth pinion. 2. I have a 27t in it right now, just the regular axial motor. Would I get better runtimes and/or power if I went to something like a 35t? Or is it the battery alone that controls the runtime? I have a few more but ill wait to see if I cant figure them out myself

Im running 10t pinion with a 54t spur 32p on axial 27t motor i get great runtimes on 2s lipo 5000mah. The weight of my ps wraith is about 5 lbs 6lbs when the tires are covered in mud still goes strong

Nice! Thanks! Im thinking about leaving the crappy 48p gears and switching to a 10t pinion, so it will hopefully crawl 2x as good. Gear ratio in trans would change from 4:1 to 8:1 so I dont know how itll crawl but im hopin itll be better

I'm not so sure that you will get any gear mesh with a 10t pinion and 80t spur. I don't think you'll be able to slide the motor over close enough.

And just going from a 20t to a 10t alone wont double your gear ratio..

Do the math.

80/20 = 4.00:1
80/10 = 8.00:1

But that's not the "in trans" ratio that's just the spur and pinion ratio. The transmission is fixed at 2.60:1, and final drive ratio would be just under 60.8:1 with the stock (2.923:1) axle gears.

Hmm... so should I go with a bigger spur too then? Also what would you guys reccomend for a long lasting powerful battery in a 2s size? Dont really want to do 3s just yet.
