Default Wraith 1.9 ?

I have been reading here on the forum were some have made the Wrath a 1.9 by lowering it and using the 1.9 wheels and tires . But what i would like to know is why they change out the AR60 diffs for the SCX10 diffs. I would think the AR60 would be the best. What am i missing?

The shorter tires combined with the wider axles means they get hung up more in the center. And scx axles get you into a certain race class.

a true 1.9 wraith has SCX10 axles and 1.9 tires/wheels. If you do SORCCA, they are still considered Class 3, but if you dont it's nothing to worry about.

Why a 1.9 conversion...In my opinion they are more scale, easier to maneuver around in tight spaces and of course, the extra challenge of running smaller tires. (half the fun IMO)
I know many guys who did the swap and wont go back to the "normal wraith". That said, they are incredibly capable and there are a million different ways of building one up.

Thanks for clearing thing up for me. I knew there must be some reasons for the SCX 10 axles. I had over looked the width difference. Thank you.
