Default SSD Knuckels?

I'm after a set as I cannot get the VP ones I want in the EU. Now looking at them there are Two holes on the top of the Knuckle? What are they for? I see a similar RC4WD knuckle where a separate arm sits on top. The Steering link is then secured via two points which sounds good to me. Is this what those holes are for to? Where do your get the extra piece if so?

The two holes on that knuckle aren't for mount the arm. It only attaches to the single arm on the front side

Thanks I understand that from the pics. But those holes are there for something. Maybe they were going to go with the dual mount? I'd be tempted to mod something up to use them. Strengthen the knuckle maybe.

I wouldn't be too concerned with a double shear mount for strength. We run more power on our com crawlers with long throw thin carbon arms with minimal issues.
The support would basically be for scale appearance.

Thanks Mitch. Just don't want them to bend like my last set of cheap aluminum knuckles.

The holes in the top of the knuckles were mostly there for scale appearance. They were also there just in case we wanted to add a high steer arm. But we decided against it in the end. As others have said, it's not necessary and can get in the way of the wheel rim/tire so would require wheels with more offset.
