Hobbywing xerun 3400kv just like a pro 4 but I think its better cause its only $80 and has a sealed can its advertised as dustproof. my son runs one and I run a holmes hobbies 540xl 3500kv mine is a 550 size my sons is a 540 size but his is just barely slower. I was shocked at how fast it was. I got it for my son cause I thought a cheaper china motor would be a lil slower but I was wrong. I probably wont buy my son another motor for a long time. Might even pick him up a spare. Slow speed is crazy good just as good as my holmes motor and my buddies tekin pro4 hd. My son runs it on a mmp.

The Trackstar and hobby wing motors run okay, but you can see a noticeable difference in power output when comparing a 4.0 Reedy Sonic 550 to the 4.0 Trackstar 550 (Sonic knock-off) or the Reedy 4000kV 550-SL to the hobby wing 4000kV 3656 550, or the LRP X12L 5.0 to the Trackstar 5.0 550. The Reedy, Tekin, Castle and LRP motors may cost more, but you get more power and a longer life from them. | |

I just bought a Tekin pro4 3300kv... I was surprised it had no leads, no bullets, no stickers, no instructions..... nothing in the box but the motor and its foam .... it was factory sealed. Hope it goes as well as everybody says.... on 4s |

| Re: cant decided It should have included a sensor wire and the small wire clamp to secure the sensor wire to the rear motor plate. My Pro4 HD 4300 and Pro4 4000 had both in the box, can't remember if they had decals but I'm pretty sure they did. Most motors don't include wires or plugs, those are usually included with the ESC and a lot of ESC/motor manufactures assume we'll be soldering our ESC-to-motor wires directly to the motor. Instructions are with your model manual (motor installation) and ESC manual (motor wiring).

| Re: cant decided If you're concerned about wheel speed you'll probably be better off with the 3100kV. You can always gear it down if needed. Gearing up the lower kV motors tends to introduce a little more heat in the motor and sometimes the ESC.

Good choice! I mostly crawl with mine geared at 11/57 and it's top end is still great on 3s.

Between the two motors. Which one would be better for rock bouncing.

Get the roc412 3100kv, run 3s, 56t spur 12t pinion.. your face will be sore from smiling so much... seriously, i couldn't stop smiling and laughing at how stupid powerful and fast it is, so happy i went with the tekin over the hobbywing 3656sd 3400kv i was about to order. Quit thinking and order it already. You will not be let down i promise.
