| The SpawnZilla Wraith!
Heres my version of an Axial Wraith. Inspired by the new Wraith Spawn, this will be dubbed the SpawnZilla! Stay tuned later in this thread for detailed photos of the parts used. Otherwise, this will be a piece by piece build. Here's the first video. It will be Epic! http://youtu.be/PnbwP7BBJjY Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by RichMTB01; 06-13-2015 at 06:53 PM. |

Epic for some reason doesn't even come close to describing this build. Its way beyond that to me. I'm subbed for more!

Thanks Kookie, I picked up a Spawn KIT and before I even built the kit, I had almost everything to build another wraith. Not sure what Axial sprays on their kits, some sort of upgrade juice or something! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I too have fallen victim to Axial's upgrade potion. I'm not so patiently waiting for my SuperShafty bombproof trans to arrive. Not a bad way to spend a couple Benjamins. Can't beat the lifetime warranty though! Looking forward to seeing where your build goes.

Thanks screamer, the SS transmission is amazing and expensive.....but like you said, lifetime warranty! It's so smooth too. I ordered in the HR locked wraith transmission (half the price of the 6mm SS) to compare and there's a real difference. The SS is so much smoother and the 6mm out shafts are worth it too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looks good. Love my curries. Any reason you went with the offset rear currie?

The centers just came out.....worried about getting the Axles, not to mention the centers were more money (if that were an issue with this build! Lol) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

| The SpawnZilla Wraith! We will start with the Rear Axle, to get my learning curve down on the Currie's. The Avid bearing are awesome as well. The RC Screwz were completely disorganized in the included sorting tray and had to be dumped in a larger container. The axle went together nicely but was quite stuff until the bearing set in and it now spins very freely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by RichMTB01; 06-13-2015 at 06:07 PM. |

Now on to the front parts: Of course with the front, there's a ton more moving parts....so referring to a stock Wraith manual helps. Also with screw sizing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The scale C Hubs and Knuckles are works of art.....the VVD's are nicely done and seem to be a nice upgrade to the Axial version. I added the brass "top hats" Now for some trial and error to get everything perfect I added the Currie Ti Steering and Tie Rod set, however, you do need to unscrew the rod ends about 2-3mm on each side to get good steering angle with the Scale Knuckles Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by RichMTB01; 06-13-2015 at 06:24 PM. |

| The SpawnZilla Wraith! Both axles together. I ended up getting the Vanquish 12mm hexes, as the front Axial just don't seat into the pin far enough with the VVD's. These things are beautiful! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

| Re: The SpawnZilla Wraith! The Vanquish Ti links for the wraith.....very nice! Now, the unknown.....I picked up the Hot Racing center skid, as I waited for the Axial Plastic version to arrive. Not sure I'll run the HR, but on the positive side, no modification to bolt a 550 sized motor! It comes with these additional bearing to help it not get hung up on the bottom....not sure they'll work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Now for the SuperShafty 6mm bombproof transmission. Maybe it's the lifetime warranty? Maybe the price tag? It's very nice though: Now bolted to the HR Skid for mock up: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Motor time! Just for mock up, the Tekin Pro4HD 2500kv.....not sure this will be used, but in the lead. If so use the plastic Axial skid, trimming will be required Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
