How in the world did i manage to bend the trans locker on the first run out!? I would ve thought the driveshafts would strip or something. Anyone else have a wobbling trans? it actually opens and closes the trans case its so bad. Time for after market solid one i guess.

Are you sure the 3 puny 2mm bolts holding the output halves together just haven't backed out and gotten jammed up? I'd check that first. Otherwise, do you have aftermarket driveshafts that are maybe too long and bottoming out during full suspension compression? If it opens and closes the trans case, then those bolts probably aren't tight either. Is this an RTR, because this smells like typical RTR assembly quality, not necessarily parts quality. |

^ X2 my rtr's Tcase half shaft screws backed out as well... A little blue locktite on the threads insures it stays together. ...something the assembler's did not do on the assembly line ? |

I did that as well. Shakes the hell out of the truck. I ran the solid RRP gears for a while, switched up to the Holmes shaft a few weeks ago. The long half of the shaft was visibly bent. |

| Re: bent trans locker This type of comment always makes me think... That during re-assembly... the drive shaft's were not phased (aligned) correctly. pictures... or it didn't happen !? Lol -------------------- ignore the red loctite you'll possibly need a torch (heat) to remove that one day. and if ya strip the grub screw's socket... you'll probably need a drill bit and an eazy-out to remove it. i always use red. I just put my soldering iron on the screws if its too tight. Very seldom do i strip one, but these little suckers probably wont fair well at all. Holmes it is.

is if the screw(s) going thru the belly skid, securing the housing, are not holding properly !? still using the original wood looking screws ? Changed mine out for machined screws day one. Now if the whole belly skid is twisting and it's not just the T-case housing... It's simply torque twist... and is normal for the most part. High torque motors running 3s will do that only thing ya can do is... mirror and rotate the transmission Or... just learn to feather the TX trigger with more precision. if none of that is helpful to you... You either don't want advice, cause yer hard headed... or you just can't be helped :cheerio: | |

The locker was bent. if the drive shaft's were removed I couldn't have had much torque twist... I'm not new to this either. And I break a lot of stuff. I use very few of the course threaded screws, only where they make sense, definitely not in the transmission. Like I said, it was bent. I installed an RRP one piece locker and the shake was gone. |

Is the trans output actually bent? or is it there was some plastic flash on the bottom/main gear still so when it was assembled & the output hasn't sat flat on the gear face? I also had where I assembled a spare trans with a different M2 screw than stock for the bottom gear (was still stock plastic at this point) & the screw head was a whisker too large, it actually distorted the shape of the gear & created 3 slightly tight spots when rotating the trans. HR gears have since be transplanted in all my trans, steel in the U4 rigs, ali in the 2.2 shafty. Hot Racing Super Duty Light Weight Steel Gear Set SCX10 Hot Racing Tranny Hard Anodizing Alum.
