Default AX2 tranny guys get in here.

Currently I am running a 56/11 for a 5.09 ratio. I am thinking about going 60/10 for a 6-1 ratio. I run 2s with a roc412 3100. I get more speed than I need now and I think the 6-1 might make it crawl a little better in first. Right now my motor runs nice and cool. Think that would change?

I'm running my AX2 at 60:10 on a Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro 3500 switching between 2s and 3s. The low speed control is outstanding on either battery and on 3s in high it's faster than I ever need. I stopped paying attention to the motor temp after the first few runs because it barely got warm to the touch.

I'll give it a try. I'm trying to find a reason to drop my roc412 an pick up a puller pro lol.

Any reason is a good enough reason to pick up a puller pro. Excellent motor with awesome low speed control and startup and Holmes service just can't be beat.

If you do get a Puller Pro keep in mind that HH is going to release a 2200 kv version in a few weeks. I might sell my 3500 kv and get one of these for even more low-speed goodness!

I dont have any plans to move to 3s so I don't think hat would help me much. I need to find someone who has ran both motors to see how much gain their is.

Running an upgraded AX2 trany with 56t / 15 for a 3.73 ratio powered by a Pro4 3300kv / MMP combo on 3s. Plenty of low end, lots of upper end for hill climbs / etc and doesn't cog on start up thanks to the sensored setup.

Edit: The key to any setup is throttle control. Don't run with a heavy throttle finger, you'll break lots of parts that way.
