| How to, mounting the Hot Racing sway bars
I bought the Hot Racing sway bar set for my Wraith and it didn't come with any instructions so I decided to write down how to mount it. The pictures onlt show the front end but the back is the same with one little problem. The spacers are to long, they are 15 mm long and should have been 5 mm. I used some parts I had but you can also cut the included spacers. First step is to take off the wheels. The pieces, the set includes three swaybars, the bigger the cutout in the middel, the more flex the swaybar has. First lets put the arms together, make two. The small grubscrews go in here, use a dab of treadlock here. The small bolt and ballnut can be used in one of the three holes, use a dab of threadlock here. This is how it should look These are the holes the swaybar goes though Insert the swaybar Put the spacers on the swaybar Attach the first arm The mountingpoint on the axle is next, remove the nut next to the shock Mount the ball nut on the axle, use a dab of threadlock here Now you can pop on the connecting rods This is how it should look when you are done Good luck. You did a great job explaning how to do it. I have the HR sway bars and they really work. No tq. twist or lean in hard corners. My arms are level but then i only have 90mm extended shocks.

They look scale/awesome, But for the life of me, I can't imaging wanting to reduce the little flex that a stock wraith already has to begin with! I'd be tempted to use a set if they were just for scale looks (Pivoting freely in the center or something).

It all depends on what you want your Wraith to do. I have two rock crawlers and don't want anymore so i run my Wraith fast and do not want it to lean in a corner. You can take them off in a couple of minutes if you do want to crawl.

@NFA, Mine is set up with soft springs and without the swaybars going fast it falls over all the time. As Quartermaster says it's a 5 sec job to take of the connecting rods to go crawling, mine is more of a plaything and I like bashing aswell as crawling. With the swaybars I can have both |

So it does not work well for crawling? I thought it was to help lower your CG? by sucking up the opposite side so your high side would suck down lower. perhaps I will make my own from soft spring steel and try it out. Last edited by toy4crawlin; 03-11-2012 at 01:41 PM. |

I know this is an old thread, but I could not find much with the search function... is the Wraith sway bar compatible with SCX10 chassis? Or do you know any dedicated sway bar for scx10? Thanks a lot |
