Paint looks good. If you spray any top coat on the outside it'll get scratched and scraped off. Unless you leave it on a shelf...

As soon as it gets dusty you'll have a flat finish... Just finishing my Spawn kit body, using Plastidip. Already jealous because it won't look as good as yours.

If you want to see what flat might look like...

spray it with Plastic Dip and check that out.

Is not a permanent deal.
So if ya don't like flat... Peel it off.

It will protect the shiny lexan from becoming marred and scuffed.

So after ya peel the PD off... it will be shiny/new once again

3 (rattle can) spray coats to ensure it peels off as a whole and with less difficulty.

Be sure the lexan surface it cleaned of any release compound - oily residue
and the PD will adhere to the lexan surface until you chose to remove it.

Possibly PD offers a clear spray... But I haven't checked.

You could also make the current surface have less sheen
by using fine # 0000 steel wool and buff the lexan surface lightly.

But don't buff the windows.

I'm erring on the side of shiny... I may matt the very lowest dark bands... My wife made the point that matt makes it look plastic whereas shiny passes for metal (when I showed the cockpit (which I have already made matt)).

Thanks for all the input.

Leave the body nice and shiny, because after your first few runs you will get tired of the tires catching the fenders and ditch the body for panels. Damn nice paint job. Mine looks kinda hack, damn window masks and window decals must have shrunk because i have nasty gaps and decals dont come close to covering what they should.

I have gaps between decals on the large sheet, exactly as if they shrunk somehow.

Yeah, I got the Spawn kit for the body but before even cutting it up I was thinking of making some panels.

You can use harleys template for shortie straight side panels, just dont use his hole pattern. They dont line up to the mounts.
