how much power can a 2speed take

Im building a custom rig and i want to run a novak hd8 2200kv motor on a 2 speed ssd trans but i dont know if the 2 speed will hold up im running this motor in my wraith and im not having any tranny issues but i dont know how strong the 2speeds are with that motor i dont realy need a 2 speed but i think it would work well with this project and be a fun addition

It will mostly run 3s i plan on running a momba monster x so its posable to go up to 6s but that would be insane however 60mph would be fun but mostly 3s anything more would just be for testing and showing off lol

How do these trans hold up to 4s or any wraith trans for that matter

My rc4wd ax2 couldn't hold up to a tekin roc412 3100kv on 3s.

I don't have nearly as much motor as your 40x71 hd8, but I've been running a 36x56 (same size as a 550 brushed motor) 3400kv and 120a esc on 4s through an SSD hi-ratio trans and so far, so good. I'm also running mismatched axle gears (underdrive in rear) which adds to strain on the transmission, along with 2.8 wheels with 5.25" paddles. As far as I'm aware, my hi-ratio trans uses the same gears as 2nd gear in the SSD 2 speed. I have seen a few U4 builds running the same trans with 1/8 scale motors like you're looking to do, and I honestly regret not going straight to an 1/8 scale motor myself.
