Wraith 2.2 VVD Vanquish won`t fit?

Hi,

I am new to RC with the 2.2 Wraith being my first rig.
Tonight I was going to install the VP VVD V1-HD (VPS07370).
First of all it was strange that the VP VVDs are no longer shiny, but come it all black metall.

The long axle side klicked in just fine:


But the other VVD is way longer then the axial stock one:



The VVD just wont slide all the way in:




What am I doing wrong here?

That is definitely pretty strange. Mine measures out correctly at the stock length of just over 7cm.

I’d recommend getting ahold of your dealer and having them pull another set, from a different Batch #, and check the lengths. If their other stock is correctly sized, then they should just swap it for you.

Are you in Europe? If so that would probably be the fastest solution. If you are stateside, the going direct with VP should be pretty quick. They have excellent customer service.

I will keep you updated what my german dealer has to say about this.
And I want the shiny steel version

That is an SCX10 inner they gave ya for the short side. Vanquish will get you taken care of though, hopefully it dont keep you down too long.

You might just need to tap it into the locker a little bit. The VP shafts do not have as much slop as the stock shafts
