I would get bushings, they handle loads better properly lubricated, and since they are easier to make, cheaper.

i think someone was talking about the wear concerns on the bushings versus bearings and the answers i think i remember involved the difference between a crawler...well...crawling and a dirt track racer...racing

i think the material that VP chose to use is more than up to the task of handling the forces at work in the XR as well as lasting longer than youd think...obviously theres no way to say how long they actually will last

bushings for now till the new transmission case and motor plate comes out. But the VP bushing fit the motor plate better than the bearings do.

I'm using Avid metal shield flange bearings. $1 ea anf they're surviving quite well. Just add a thin layer of CA to the inside of the motor mount, let it dry, and you'll get a nice snug bearing fit.

I have gotten the price down for every bearing in both axles to $81.00 shipped. That is not to bad for 26 bearings. That is about $3.11 a piece. Still a little pricy but for ceramic bearings it is pretty good.

It was a lot of heart ache and help from other members on here. You can go to Acer Bearings and order their XR10 ceramic bearing kit for $89.99. Went checking out put the code in "rccrawler" and it will give you an additional 10% off. The bearings should ship for free and your total should be $80.99.

I had a few issues with them and there initial pricing but I think it is all fixed now.

Hope this helps.
