Arrow XR10 Shock Setup & Tuning

I would like to start a thread for XR10 shock setup and tuning

Feel free to post your XR10 shock setup, brand, type, spring, etc

Please list reasons and terrain that cause you to run a specific setup or any other variables we may like to know about.

My current XR10 shock setup:

Front:
Axial 72-103mm comp shocks
Piston - Delrin
Oil - 40wt
Spring - Losi Gold
Shock length - 108mm

Rear:
Axial 72-103mm comp shocks
Piston - Delrin
Oil : 40wt
Spring - Losi Gold
Shock Length - 108mm

Figuring everyone runs a different shock setup...Don't know the success on this
being a sticky...

But....
machined piston front/rear
Stock weight
Gold Losi springs front/rear...Softer the better.

Sounds like a go setup, how smooth is the shock travel compared to stock form?

Isn't that why it would be a good sticky....
Im totally intrigued at finding out what shock set ups other people run....it might give me ideas on how to run mine better.

Shock oil, piston, and spring rates are dependent on each rigs suspension geometry, overall weight, weight bias, ride height, full droop height, ect. If you want this thread to reach its full potential you should list a lot more info

Your shock setup may not work for someone running a rig 1lb heavier or lighter than you.

O yeah, don't forget terrain REALLY comes into play as well!

Best thing you could do is start a thread where everyone can share their XR10 setup sheet and explain their setups/changes.

You're missing Brandons point. I can take the shocks of your truck, which may work very well, and put them on my truck and it makes my truck a pile of poo. There is alot more than just shocks. Shocks are a big part of it, no doubt, but they need to be set up for each truck. I agree with the set up sheet sticky but a shock tuning sticky is kinda useless.

is all. nothing good to add other than what has been said. random shock setups would be worthless. If someone were to make that setup sheet easily editable, then attach those to a thread... now were talkin!
