Default front shock position

is anybody mounting there front shocks on the lower links instead of the front axel? i was thinking about it . if u did do the tires still rub the shocks, i would love to have full throw of the steering.thanks

I mounted mine on the axle and imborded them. I put a spacer on where the shock bolts so it would keep the mounting tabs strong. I get crazy steering and very little rubbing

Mine are on the lower links, front-most holes.
Wheels need to be turned to their max before i get any real rub now.
