| xr10 electronics help
Im realy impressed with the xr10 so i was thinking about getting one but what would be the best, cheap way for electronics. Heres what i know option 1. 2 esc's 4 channel remote 2 motors This is probley the best way but two esc is kinda expensive option 2. 1 esc 3 channel remote 2 motors punk dig unit This is were i get confused. Wouldnt running one esc and a dig unit just give you the famous and frustrating clod stall? One more question. The novak d2 esc made for 2 motors that the person who tested the xr10 in rccraction use. Whould that have clodstall and would that have dig? Sorry for so many questons but i want to do this right. Thanks |

Clod stall is something you get use to...My rig has none to very minimul clod stall..It ends up helping you crawl....There are a couple of guys in the Electronics/XR thread that use the M2, figuring this is not released yet, might be hard to get a wide scope of input. If you get clod stall...Drop pinion size a bit...It will help, but you should be more than ok with 1 good ESC. |

I run the mamba max and 2 40t motors and punk dig and with a 15t pinion front and 13 rear my clod stall has gone away and may just drop the front back to 14t pin cause the rear tries to push the front too much atm!! |

Didn't want to start a new thread about an old topic but I have searched and searched and can't find an answer to my question so I thought I would try here. I'm running 3S lipo with a 5645 servo. I know the servo isn't enough but I will upgrade later. From what I gather I should be running a bec even though the FXR has a built in set to 6v. The HS5645 gets the most torque at the 6v rating but if I goto a castle Bec it comes out of the box set at 5.1v. My question is does anyone know a vendor that will program the bec before shipping it so I don't have to buy the pc link for a one time use or is 5.1v enough? I tried the online help with a vendor here but I don't think the bot understood my question |

| First try a local hobby shop for the CCBEC , and before ordering ask them if they have a castle link to program it for you. |

Actually I just checked and Holmes Hobbies will program it to a multitude of different outputs for a nominal charge! Perfect |
