Motor plate bearings suck. Other then that the kit is awsome out of the box. Other then the fact you have to build it, or its no good out of the box

Needs tuning just like any other rig, I think all the hype made the xr10 sound better than it really is.

If it's the perfect rig out of the box then why is everyone modifying the chassis or switching chassis? Same goes with the bearings, links, skid plates, etc......

Not everyone here likes to work on their rig all the time, some people are just into driving. There is no way the rig out of the box will hang with some built crawlers you see at comps, Its not perfect just like any other rig and there was way to much hype about this thing.

With some upgrades it sure does make a great truck but in stock form it brings the suck , personally I think my Losi night crawler drove better right out of the box.

Yes very good to start with, endless upgrades and more to come......

but you have to be willing to tune the rig and upgrade a few items.

Why get in the HOBBY then? If you just want to run it and not wrench, get a toys"r"us rc and break it. Then get another one.

It is one of the best crawler out of the box....The fact that everyone is
swapping out the stock chassis compared to a new after market chassis is
preference. I still haven't seen a better chassis then the stock XR setup...

No, you will need to drill the holes out. I used a body reamer. The aluminum is very soft.

You really havent seen a better chassis setup. Damn, I'm going to have to sell the chassis I just got from the for sale section. Unless you think its worth trying.

not doing maintenance or wrenching means that it's bought to be a shelf queen or to be run once and break and throw it away. its really impossible to be in this hobby and not wrench. kind of like a nascar team never wrenching. the XR10 to me and a thousand others is one very awesome crawler and the fact that you have to build it means you know how to fix it if it breaks, anyway just my two cents
