Default Shelby's now J-Fab'd xr10

I saw a deal on this xr10 from a member on here(gunnar) and it was way to good to pass up. So I sold my ax10 to buy this. This is my first MOA so i'm still not sure what I'm doing. Its not running yet, a "friend" still owes me 2 bills from my ax10 and whenever he pays me I will be able to pick up the rest of things I need to make RTR. I am going to get a stick radio but I've never even held one so I know it's gonna take a while to get use to. Our first club comp is on Jan. 16 so I'm trying to get everything ready by then, but we'll see. So all comments or questions are welcomed.

The links are all Lunsford Ti, I was experimenting with the rear bends when I decided to sell it, not the best, but they will work.

Cool I wasn't sure if they were stainless or Ti. The rear links came out pretty good, just a few bends were off, but they have lots of clearence.

Mock up of the electronics, when I get all of the electronics I'll have the guy from LHS wire it up super clean.

Chassis setup

Sorry for the blurry pic. I'm at about 3 7/8 for the rear clearence.

The links on that thing are very cool!!!

I made the same leap that you did (AX to XR). I have courses I practice on that allow me to test new set ups and adjustments, I found out in short order that I need new courses with my XR, obsticles that where challenging with my AX are easy with the XR.

Across the street is a little rockquarry that was somewhat hard with my ax, so I figure it'll be a walk in the park with this thing.

I'm itching to drive this thing so bad...

Get as much weight out of the chassis as possible, unsprung weight will help your crawler work better on the rocks.

I have seen some pretty complicated mounts on here with two mounting points... but I just ran a longer bolt through my little flat plate, through the lower link mounting hole, and put a nut on the botton. A small piece of velcro covers the bolt head and helps hold the battery.

Simple and effective.

I cut up an old chassis for my battery mount. It has two mounting points. One is at the upper link mount on top of the axle, and the other is down at the left shock mount. Here are some pics of mine.

That's what I was thinking, it kind of seemed like the only place to bolt it on to. My dad is a sheet metal worker so I'll ask if he could make me a small plate...

Were you able to use the stock bolt on the upper links?
