Default 4mm rod for Revo rod ends

Can someone tell me where I can order the 4mm rod that goes in the Revo rod ends? I have tried searching, but I just keep finding threads talking about the rod ends and not the actual rods.

Thanks,

Most of us use 8/32 threaded rod you can find at any hardware store.

Or you could just cut the head off a 4mm bolt and use that but the 8/32 thread is deeper and holds way better. Most hobby shops will carry 4mm set screws though.

8-32 screw dia: 0.1640"
4 mm screw dia: 0.1574"

For plastic the 8-32 will work and offer a tad more bite. I like to start a tap in just to make it a bit easier.

Fastenal has 4mm grub screws. You can get them in bulk and never have to buy them ever again.

With shipping is pretty much always cheaper to buy it at the hobby shop or hardware store.

Thanks for all the replies. I also found them on RC4WD, but the shipping is three times the cost of the rods.

Yeah, your best bet is Home Depot, Lowes, Ace or some local hardware store and you can buy the 8/32 all-thread in 3ft or 6ft lengths for cheap.

**edit, at the same time you can pick up the stainless, aluminum, or brass tube to sleeve the all-thread and make it look pretty!
