The benefit is mostly for the front end. Less spring to tire rub than with the full size spring. On some shocks, especially on LCC shocks I used to run, the limiter would move. That being said, a little locktite could have fixed that.

Looks awesome, I'll be following your build closely I just got the t1e rockshow and have a few setup questions and some of your pics have helped. Are you using the stock upper front links and rear stock lower links for the rear uppers and what rod ends did you use for the t1e lower links. Thanks

Hopefully after this weekend I'll have some action shots for you. I'm Waiting on some new batteries so I don't fry my sidewinder micros.

Thanks, I've been working on it for a while. For now I'm using stock front uppers and stock front lowers as the rear uppers. Thinking about experimenting in Titanium.

Looking into lengths. What are you using to bend it?

Looks great. Can't go wrong with a T1E chassis.

Thanks for all of the comments. Sorry I don't have any action pics for you. I'm still having some electronics issues. My CC micro sidewinders are really starting to tick me off.

The rear works fine, the front esc after going in reverse doesn't always want to engage going forward and causes what essentially looks like a rear dig. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I understand that a few people have had issues with these ESC's. Is anyone else having this issue?

Well first thing is I would make your wiring is correct and if that's good, try hooking the front back up to your castle link and reprogramming it. If that doesn't work, hit it with a hammer.

Updates:

Electronics: I'm sure this has been posted before but anyone running Castle Creations ESCs with a Futaba radio needs to reverse the throttle on the radio and calibrate individually. This seems to have cleared up 99% of my reversing issues. Now that green is forward and red is reverse, everything is running much smoother. No hammer needed.

Wheels/Tires:

The little that I have had this running, I noticed that I needed a bit more weight up front and some tire support. I ordered up some of Eddie at Crawler Innovation's weights and DHII's wheel rings. I ordered them on Friday night and in 1hr, they were shipped! INCREDIBLE service!

I was getting a ton of wheel wrap and these should help!

I halved the inner foam to fit the support rings

I'll post up some additional action shots and reviews of the rings. I'm sure they are going to do just what I needed.

Looks good, glad you got it together.
What hubs did you go with?
I know a place you can come get some practice in this Saturday.

This is a really nice build. That chassis is looking better by the minute! Please post some videos when you get some driving time.

Finally had some time to get out and do some running with this truck. I'm experiencing a bit more of a learning curve coming from shafty than I expected. I just need to get more time behind the radio with this rig.

Next changes, I've got some skidz made for the motor and I'm going to shorten the front lowers a bit. The front motor seems to be taking a real beating so I'm going to add caster a different way.
