Default BJV4.2 Pro CF question

Built my CF BJProV4.2 chassis, CF side plates but 1/8 Delrin cab. At the back its still under 3" with 1/2" spacers on each side. If I take calipers screwhead to screwhead it's fine but I guess that isn't legal. I am throwing in some 1/8" spacers in each side to get it slightly over 3" but I was wondering if anyone ran into this and if so how did you fix it?

the extra 1/8" aluminum spacers provided in the kit are there for this. they need to be stacked on the 1/2" spacers to make it over the legal limit
