Default Newbie Maxmus's Ultra Budget XR10

Hello,

I finally got around to finishing this beast on uber budget. It has a lot to go for upgrades, and I am open to suggestions. This thread will probably be very slow going due to my calculus classes and my 9mo old daughter taking up most of my time.

Thanks for looking and suggestions welcomed, I got the roller without a body and without shocks.

Specs:
Stock xr10 everything
sc10 rear shock up front with 2.765lb 2.25" spring (80 wt inside), sc10 front shock in rear with 3.224lb 2.25" spring (80 wt inside) both with DIY cap mod.
7950th
GH servo horn
Castle BEC set at 7.2v
2x sidewinder sct's
2x tekin 55t's
Hobbyking HK-T6A V2 setup for independent control of axles
2x turnigy nanotech 1000mah 30c

So... I'm at roughly $400 in this thing. God this MOA stuff adds up fast.

It was fun soldering the two esc's together back to back, but it saved the most space and looks very clean imo. I couldn't justify spending $50+ on shocks when I had similar length sc10 shocks lying around so I set it for 105mm eyelet to eyelet and messed around with springs and clips until I got it crawling well. Stock gears have been treating me well but when I bust them, I'll probably save up for some VP goodies. It also really needs better links too, not enough breakover and the upper link folds over like an accordion.

Here's some pictures:

I'm also from Oceanside, CA area, so if you guys are near here, hit me up!

Suggestions welcome

Very nice.
Did you make the battery holder?
Can you show few close ups of it?

Nice build. How do you like your radio. i'm wanting to do and xr10 build and was thinking of getting the same radio and reciever. Also what mods did you have to do to the radio in order for it to work with the moa design??

Kept it at a really good price so far! The XR10s are getting cheap.

Just quietly, you have put your side plates on backwards. If you look from the side, they are not symmetrical. The longer side goes at the back if you understand me.
