Default Michael's CF BJ4.2/ SA

I have been wanting to do a rebuild for a while now and decided to give the BJ4.2 a try.I picked this chassis up while in vegas from Jeremy.I have been running the viper chassis for some time now and wanted to try out a different chassis. The viper chassis has been good to me,have'nt had a single problem with it.The main reasons for switching to the bj4.2 are for weight savings and the narrow design.I finaly got a chance to put it together.Went together with ease and the fit and finish is top notch. This chassis comes in at 2 3/4oz.I plan to do a hardware change to try and shed some more weight.Heres a few pics

Had a chance to work on this thing lastnight and got it all together.I was'nt sure if I would be able to use the same links from the viper or not.I had to add some jato ends to some of the links to make it work.I dont like the idea of jato ends but it will do for now.Still gotta finish up some panels for it.

Very nice Michael! Those links came out really nice! If you run a longer set screw (25mm) in the Jato ends they should hold up fine. You can always just order some Ti links from Winkscrawler, Dlux, or Chaotic to your specs. Looks like lowers would be all that you needed, those uppers look nice.

I run my rear uppers one hole down from your position at the chassis. I think Krawlfreak runs his all the way down (two holes lower).

Got some panels made up.I made them out of laminating pouches.4xford has been running these thin panels for a while and seem to be holding up.They weigh in at 1/2oz with skins and hardware. The panels that came with the chassis weigh 3/4oz with out skins and hardware. We'll see how they hold up.

With my old setup I was weighing 5lb 10oz rtr and thats with 5.450z knuckle weights and 1 oz inside the wheels. With this new chassis Im weighing 5lb 7oz with the same weight.Im going to leave it like it is and tune weight from there.

Looks good man! I dig the logo!

I too run fairly thin lexan for my panels....and they will last a while, but will eventually crack...
