Default Bearing problem...looking for solution

I am running the Axial hardened, lightweight gears and titanium shafts with Vanquish cases, plates, & upper link mounts. The problem I am having is with the bearing (5x8x2.5mm) on the end of the drive gear/idler gear shaft. I have exploded two of those bearings so far and have no idea what is causing it. Anyone have any clues? Thanks!

Those little bearings stink, to say the least.
I replaced all the 5x8 bearings with the Traxxas bushings.
They are holding up real well

My buddy runs the TRX bushings on the end of the shafts, and breaks them everytime we go crawling!
He even dremmeled out the plastic to fit 2 trx bushings in there, and broke both of them yesterday!
Crazy $hit!
I got the VP upper axle cases so I could eliminate those tiny bearings/bushings.

Holy shit, he must bind the hell out of that thing. I am running 5x8 TRX bushings on the end of the shafts and they hold up great.

He shows his rig no mercy that's for sure, but he is our clubs 2 time defending champ so I don't question him much.

Check to make sure the shaft is not bent also. That can lead to premature bearing failure. It happened on my front axle and I run bushings to replace the outer bearings since they would die often.

Checked the shaft, it is ok, as I expected it is fairly a fairly new titanium one. I will give the bushing a shot and see what happens. I cannot see spending the change on the Pricey VP Axle Housings, especialy since I am currently in the middle of a Wraith/TTC build and getting ready to start an FOFF build.

Thanks to every that replied!
