| Build questions??
I'm almost finished with my xr10 build. Just have to solder on deans and charge a battery. 1st- should I be able to rotate the tires easily? The rear I can rotate tires forward and backwards. Front I can only rotate forwards. Trying to rotate backwards it feels all locked up. I did the traxxas bushing and big bearing mods. Motors are installed. The motors spin freely uninstalled. One thing I found out is you need the wire the rear motor backwards. Or you can rotate the back of the motor 180 deg. How tight is your pinion lash. Mine was a little tight also. DONT DO WHEELIES IN THE CARPET. I broke the stock gears doing that. I would lift the truck off the ground and try it. Make sure the wheels are all going the same way. good luck and have fun.

I too, found that things were a little tight. More so when rotating backwards by hand vs forward, I heard the bushings need a little break in.

Did you try turning the axles before you installed the motors, any binding? When Im putting together axles I check for binding after each step all the way to the end and make sure there is little to no binding. If there was no binding before the motors then check pinion gear mesh. Are you using matched motors front and rear?

I'm using tera claw 55t motors. I was turning them by hand. I haven't even put power to them yet. I will pull the motors back out and turn by hand to see if its in my trans. Sent from my uber smart, smart phone.... |

| If the motors are fine then check the mesh between the pinion and the first gear. You may have meshed them too tightly together. But you also don't want it to be too loose!!

If the mesh is tight, it'll be hard to rotate, if its looser, it'll be easy to rotate. I like to run a looser mesh myself.

Mine are tight to but also my bro's are they were really smooth before I stuck the motors on them. Now I can't really turn them.
