Default New XR-10 Build plus Questions

I am new to rc crawling cycleeric has been helping me along the way with what stuff to purchase.

Purchased so far

XR-10 kit
T1E rockshow SS chassis and links
Hitec HS-7950TH Servo
2 Holmes hobbie BR-XL ESC's
Castle Creations BEC
2 Brood 35t hand wound motors(from Eric )
Futaba 4PL (from Eric)
RC4WD hardened gears
1 set of Sedona tires
1 set of boss claws


I am putting together a list of stuff from vanquish products ( transmission cases, knuckles,front and rear link mounts, chubs , and lock outs

Question on wheel hubs what size should I run front and rear planning on ordering vanquish slw wheels

I live in Denver,NC but I work offshore in louisana as a subsea robotics technician so I will be back home in two weeks and will post pics as I start this build but I would like to go ahead and get everything ordered b4 I get home so I can get it together ASAP

Helluva way to start

Re the offset, I was given some good information a little while ago

Hope this helps you, although its specific to the DH Procomp offsets


DH Procomp Wheel with 335 hubs can not add rings
DH Procomp Wheel with 460 hubs can add 1ea. 1/8 rings. = 4.04 oz. 114g
DH Procomp Wheel with 585 hubs can add 2ea. 1/8 rings. = 474oz. 134g
DH Procomp Wheel with 710 hubs can add 3ea. 1/8 rings. = 545oz. 154g
DH Procomp Wheel with 835 hubs can add 4ea. 1/8 rings. = 6.17oz. 175g

DH ProCOmp II with 335 Does not fit.
DH ProCOmp II with 460 Does not Fit.
DH ProCOmp II with 585 Does Fit. But no extra rings.
DH ProCOmp II with 710 hubs can add 1ea. 1/8 rings. = 4.04oz. 114g
DH ProCOmp II with 835 hubs can add 2ea. 1/8 rings. = 4.74oz. 134g

i just got a set of used SLW V1 from a friend, im running 600 front, 475 rears. seems to be what most run, if I remember correctly.

Hey Lucky ! nice rig
Looks like a performer and probably will be when you'll change the upper links with axial bent 30° 6x101mm, much better than the plastic stock ones and inexpensive, usable with the stock ends !!!

And FYI, the chart that is posted above is for DH wheels. The hubs are different for the SLW wheels. Also, depends on what width wheel you are running. I'm going to be putting 475s on my SLWs, but they are .7s. Also, are you running knuckle weights? How much weight do you want? The size of the hub will limit the space available. So there are a few things to take into account when choosing.

Yeah Ordered a set of SLW V3's 1" with 600 and 475 hubs. Also ordered chaotic crawlers steering linkage hopefully the will get here soon still Need to order knuckle weights

Upper links axial part # ax30445 or ax30458 depending what color you want
