| - Seld-M-Bend Rear axles - Orders Open. Here is a look at the my Beefed up 6mm rear axles. The new axles are turned down M10 x 120mm 4140 Cap head bolts. A small amount of material had to be removed from the housing because when assembled the housing would clamp tight on the axle shaft. I would estimate around 0.5mm off each side was all I removed with a 6mm round file. New ceramic Boca bearings were purchased for the lock out end 11 x 6 x 4mm and M5 Flanged lock nuts for the wheels. Note: VP hubs do not allow you to tighten an 8mm socket. The central hub locator had to be removed and a plastic packer placed in between the wheel nut and the wheel to be able to tighten the wheel nut properly. Thanks for the comments boys Correct cut and then treated with a blackening spray. The machinist did two sets just in case one was not right(fortunately both were perfect). One raw and one blackened. |
