Default Vp Motor plates question

I'm wanting to get the VP motor plates along with new bearings.
My question is can I run the stock transmission cases with the VP plates or do i need the VP covers?

Don't forget the TRA3775 to replace the stock bearing in the link mount. That is a high-stress place for the cheezy little stock bearing.

It says on their website that it will not work so I purchased both. But it would have worked anyways with the stock case

The Axial HD Motor plate is a great alternative to the stock one and is nicer than the VP. It also comes with beefier bearings, axle cut out and is ribbed to assist in motor coolong. In addition it has a counter sink so the top screw doesn't contact the gear like it does with the VP.

What I like best is that the bearings are not exposed like the VP so that will keep dirt out of them.

I was thinking about getting the hd plate but I don't think axial deserves any more service from me. instead I am gonna do the mod myself.

Find out what size bearings that the vp one comes with (on their site) then go to avidrc.com and buy the correct ones.
