Well starting my build. Instead of tearing my xr apart just for axles i need to just order some new ones. Anyone know the best place for new xr front and rear axles. Am i assembling this right?. Im guessing it flares out towards the rear of the chassis?

put together? you mean putting the screw into the rod end? if thsats it i just hold the rod end and push really hard with the screw to get it started. you can also use a body reemer to take some material away from the rod end to make it easier for the screw to start to thread but dont take too much

the way i put the ends together is set the ball in the end and use pliers to pop them into place. and your chassis is assembled correctly. for axles either watch the classified, ebay or just buy a whole kit and sell off the rest

Slowly but surely. Didnt realize all the parts u have to order when starting from scratch. And how many different companys u have to order from to get all the parts u need. Everything is in the mail seems like a thousand dollars comes up real quick man. Well just need rear axles bec and esc anc reciever cor my m11 controller and skins man it will be over a thousand sooner then i thought gosh.

Doesn't take long to spend the cash. I hear ya when it comes to ordering parts from everywhere. Lots of great advice on here, but I can't count how many times I ordered something I needed and one little piece of the puzzle was missing, and end up having to get it from somewhere else. Oh well, half the fun it's learning.

I've just begun my research, but that CF chassis is EXACTLY what I'm after. Can you post up a link for that?
